Please reach us at info@seeingdoubleedits.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
When the waitlist opens you place a deposit to hold your spot (either animal or human) for your commission to be completed during one of the months available.
Spots can be reserved as long as they remain. New spots are listed on the first of every month. There are a limited number of spots and are all first come, first serve. A $25 deposit is required to hold your spot but will be applied to total due at the time I begin your commission.
Pricing structure as of March 2023:
$125USD standard edit fee
$95USD background swap (optional)
$30USD create-a-puppy (for those who rescued their pet as an adult)
$50USD fee for EXPEDITED edits (this fee is for expedited spots ONLY)
We will go through the waitlist in the order spots were secured. When you are up you will be contacted (I prefer through Instagram) to let you know that we are ready to begin the process for your edit to be completed and that we can start going through photos together. The most important part of our job is assisting in the photo selection process to find the photos that will look the most natural and realistic together.
Once we’ve landed on two or three, you will send an email with the largest and most original versions, we will get a final mockup approved, you'll submit payment and we will begin finalizing your piece. At the time you submit payment you'll get a timeframe in which you can expect to receive a final proof.
If at any point in the process once you've been contacted for completion that you haven't heard from us, please send another message. Sometimes Instagram glitches and doesn't show replies or emails get pushed into different threads.
These are a great thing to surprise pet owners with but it's easier said than done. The photo selection process can be quite difficult unless you have access to an album of originals and if you only have access to Facebook photos or a limited selection of images, I recommend purchasing a gift card because it's much easier to work with the owner who has all of the photos and work with them one-on-one to come up with their piece.
Yes. Edits are electronically delivered. I do not offer prints at this point in time.
Yes. I mainly do dogs but can do any animal with four legs.
Yes, I do this concept with people. Please reserve a Human Edit Waitlist Spot if you’d like a human edit done.
They are as large as they were when I received them. There is little to no change in the resolution or quality of image I send from how I they were when I received them. I can resize them if needed and please address this with me when we are selecting photos.
I can do a lot with low quality puppy photos but I am very clear in my abilities and what you can expect from your unique edit and will discuss what that looks like when you’re up. Ultimately, I am unable to fully change poor quality images and while there may be a visible quality difference between the two images in the final edit, I will do my best to try and mitigate the differences. (I have shared multiple examples of this on my Instagram)
Photos saved from Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, video screenshots, etc are not recommended. They are 70% smaller compared to a standard phone photo and do not yield good results.
Yes. Not all edits have to be puppy/adult. I can do any two animals combined in one photo and the price is the same $125.
Yes, as long as I can find stock photos and match features/markings. There is a $30 surcharge to account for the additional time it takes to source a similar stock photo in addition to the extra effort it takes to match features and markings.
This concept also works with pets first rescued to now as well, it doesn't have to be puppy to adult.
You will need to reserve spots and pay deposits for each pet.
One adult pet + its younger self* = $125 (one spot/one deposit)
Two adult pets + their younger selves = $250 (two spots/two deposits)
Three adult pets + their younger selves = $375 (three spots/three deposits)
Note: if you want them all together in one photo, photos already containing all adult pets will yield the best results.
*this can be a pet that has passed on. Your edit doesn’t HAVE to be a puppy, kitten or the like
I tend to lean towards keeping the background already present in photos as often as possible. I prefer not to change the background but do offer that service for an added $95USD cost. Please select in your order if you wish for this to be done.
I do not use free vector images for my composites, I pay for rights to use them and that is factored into cost as well as additional time it takes.
*Naturally lit adult photos are recommended and required if the pet is still living. Payment for background swap edits is not refundable if you are displeased that it does not look natural with poorly lit indoor photos
**Gift card purchases do not include background replacements. You must message me if you wish to also pay to have that option available for the recipient
Not at this time but if you would like a signed print of your piece that is something that can be discussed for an additional rate depending on size, format and medium requested.
